Start With the Basics
Building an outfit from simple basic pieces is one of the greatest things to do, especially when you're having trouble figuring out what you want to wear. Around the fall/winter season, I like to start off with some favorite black pieces, because let's face it, you can never go wrong with an all black outfit. It's chic, it's sexy, it's always in style, and the best part about it is it's easy to build off of. I've been rocking the all black look a lot lately, but I love changing things up by throwing in some color. Some days I like to go bright and bold, but in this look I went with more subtle, earthy tones.
I found this velvet floral patterned robe and immediately envisioned this outfit in my head. This long-sleeve top is one of my favorites because the fabric is so soft, it fits me perfectly, and I'm a huge fan of mocknecks. I usually go for more loose fitting outfits, but this time I went with the form fit look to accentuate my figure. Of course I added some key accessories to stand out in this simple look. It's amazing how a few additions can change the whole vibe of an outfit!
