To Denver

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably know I went to Denver, CO last month. I was only there for a few days to visit my brother Jan, but it was refreshing to get away even for a short time.

First of all, the Denver International Airport is dope. You have to appreciate a nice airport when you're in one. Traveling is stressful af so being in a clean, well-organized airport with a super friendly staff is just so damn enlightening. Amazing airport experience every time.

MOST IMPORTANT PART OF MY TRIP: the food. Obviously.

98% of this blog post consists of where I ate on the trip, and I'm not gonna lie, I strongly considered putting this in the Food section on my Favorites page. I honestly didn't realize how much of this post was going to be about food, but I'm also not surprised. I figure most of my adventures will be like this...but anyway, let's get to it!

When Jan was home, he kept telling me about this fantastic Korean BBQ place called "Dae Gee", so I was dying to go.

Fam. This place. Let me tell you. All. You. Can. Eat. So you know I was living life in there.

Half our table was covered in side dishes. My favorite was the potato dish. I don't even know how to begin explaining how amazing this little dish was. Words don't do it justice. Just know we ordered it like 10 times back to back, and no that is not an exaggeration. The sides alone were enough to satisfy you, but let's not forget the meat. Ugh, the meat. It was nonstop juicy meats, guys. Mmmmhm. Juicy meats left and right. Pork, brisket, chicken, it was all so perfect. I wish I took more pictures to show you guys, but I was too busy devouring it all the second it came off the grill. I highly recommend this place though. Great food, great price, great atmosphere. I'd definitely go back there. It's the perfect place to go with a hungry group of friends.

You already know what's next. Ya girl's favorite: dessert. But not just any dessert. Ice cream. Ya girl got some ice cream. But not just any ice cream. Sweet Cow. Ya girl got some Sweet Cow.

Cards on the table, I had no idea what Sweet Cow was prior to this trip lmao. BUT KNOW THIS, I will never forget the name. Because I took mad stickers from them. As you see here. Also, because their ice cream is fantastic.

For those who have never been or have never heard of the place, apparently their ice cream flavors change constantly (according to Jan). I tried like five different flavors before deciding, and you can imagine how torn I was on making a decision. Eventually I decided on getting a pint of "Trix are for Kids" and "Sweet Cream". BRUH. This ice cream legit tasted like Trix cereal. And of course it had Trix in it. You don't understand how bad I want this ice cream again. It was perfectly creamy and perfectly sweet. It was just everything. I ate that whole pint like nobody's business.

The next day we went to this little ramen shop called Sera's Ramen Enclave that's located in the back of an alley. And like everywhere we went, it had such a dope vibe. Needless to say, the food was fantastic. Their Thai tea could've been better, but their ramen was the best ramen I've ever had. There was so much, the bowl seemed endless. The brisket just melted in your mouth and I'm drooling just thinking about it.

I'd go back to Denver for the food alone. I highly recommend you visit. It's a beautiful city with a great vibe. You see mountains pretty much everywhere you look, so you always have a view, and there are so many places to go. I'm looking forward to taking a longer trip in the future to explore the city further.
